Waiting for him

Hello all!

I am still around, it's just been a really busy time for me and I thank you for sticking with me. So, today I'm going to showcase an outfit I'm loving at the moment and hopefully you can all appreciate the new-style photography in this post. I'm trying to step up my game!

I've been obsessed with my disco pant dupes from River Island recently. I have found so many ways of wearing them. I've actually done a Look Book for my YouTube channel to show how I, a plumper sort of lady, wears them day-to-day. I will link it when it's been uploaded.

Would you ever consider high-shine, high-waisted trousers? I don't like my rounded tummy (it was still there even when I was a size 8), but when paired with looser blouses and tees, I feel they help balance out my silhouette. Otherwise I can look swamped and bigger than I am (thanks 36FF's!). Please, please, please, let me know what you think of this new photography style. Should I keep this up and is it more interesting? I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts. Hope you're all well!

Raglan Castle

For some reason I didn't take that many photo's of Raglan castle. I seemed to focus more on the vlog footage. So below are the only photo's I have of the castle. The vlog shows you the place in more detail, so take a look at that if you're interested. Hope you enjoyed this series?

Tintern Abbey

Tintern Abbey is just so incredibly awe-inspiring. These pictures simply don't do it justice. In the very first photograph, that's me standing in front of the window to give it some sense of scale (although I'm not standing directly in front of it, which would have been an even better indicator!). It is absolutely enormous. When you walk into the room with that window in, I defy you not to gasp or exclaim 'wow!'. Everyone else around me did too!

This is number three in the blog post series of my summer dalliances. Don't forget that these posts, whilst off the beauty and fashion content normally seen on this blog, are linked to the vlog series currently running on my YouTube channel. The vlog which is partnered with this post (meaning you can actually see the castle via the video footage I took) is linked below, along with the others in the series. Let me know what you think! I'm desperate for some sort of feedback on my YouTube and blog content. Thanks :)

Chepstow Castle

Following on from my previous post about Chepstow town centre, today's post showcases some of the pictures I took from inside the castle grounds. Chepstow castle is beautiful and if you enjoy that sort of day out, I would highly recommend it. For anyone who missed my previous post, I am running a vlog series on my YouTube channel that shows you some of the pretty and cool places I visited over the summer. I know it's no longer summer, but I thought I would share them with you anyway because if it's dry you can still wrap up warm and throw on some boots and see these glorious places. I hope you enjoyed today's instalment  Next up is the beautiful Tintern Abbey.

Chepstow: The Town

Over the summer months when I was back home in Swansea conducting my MA dissertation research, I visited a fair few new places on the rare days I allowed myself some time off. Chepstow is one of the places I visited with my Boyfriend Ben, my mum and my grandmother. As I'm currently doing a vlog series of these summer visits on my YouTube channel, I figured I would share some of the photographs I took from my travels on here too. We visited the town centre as well as the castle, but today's post focuses on the town itself. Next up will be some pretty shots I got of the castle (although I'm no professional). I hope you like them!

Isn't Chepstow pretty? Do you like visiting new places and taking loads of photos? I would love to see similar posts if you guys have any to link me to :)

Grasping Summer

Warning: this outfit of the day post features sunshine and a summer maxi dress...in September! It felt odd to have such a hot and glorious day at this time of year, but you will hear no complaints from me. I decided to share this outfit with you, mainly because a sweet elderly lady stopped me in Waterstone's Llandudno to say that she thought I looked beautiful, which made my day! So, below are the pictures. Enjoy!

Photo Perfect

Today I thought I would share some of my photography with you. I'm not a professional, nor have I had any official training, so go easy on me! I just thought you might like to see some of the stuff I love to photograph. I adore photographing people too, but rarely will anyone give me permission to snap them. I am surrounded by camera-shy folk. I would really love to perfect my portrait photography skills, but for aforementioned reason this is proving difficult. Also, I need someone who can take good photo's of me - the bf, whilst having done a photography course, isn't into photographing me for the blog! Wish I could have an outer body experience to take flattering and pretty photo's of myself for you to see. Alas, that will have to wait until I have more time to experiment with my camera settings and tripod. Enjoy!

NB - I did take photographs of the bride and groom that included their faces, but I have left them off the blog in case my future step sister-in-law (possibly, I'm not engaged to the bf as yet!) didn't want me to share them with you.

Photography Maniac

Hello lovely blog reader. I'm afraid that I have been unwell for the
last week and now I have a terrific coldsore right in the middle
of my top lip. It's large and unsightly and I didn't think you lovely
folk would want to see me in this state! Hence no pictures of my face
recently.

I thought I would share some of my favourite snaps that I've managed
to take over the past year or so. I'm always taking photos of nature,
scenery, etc. First photograph is from last summer of a hydrangea bush in the
garden. Above is a daffodil from last spring.

This picture is of the view that can be seen if I walk about 4 minutes down
my road. I live in rural North Wales (I'm a southerner who moved here for uni)
and the Snowdonia mountain range has been a prominent feature in my life since
I moved here.

Here we have some photoshop editing so that my Ray Ban style
sunglasses are in their blue glory, whilst the rest is in black and
white. I like phptpgraphs which have a shot of unexpected colour. I hope
you enjoyed this little break from tradition and found my snaps
interesting. Normal blogging will resume once this coldsore leaves my face!
