The Great Gatsby

It may be the historian in me, but I adore fashion trends that hark back to a by-gone era. The 1920's is such a beautiful, decadent decade in the sense that women wore such beautiful garments and accessories. I love all of the above items, but the headband is by far my favourite. Regular readers will know how much I enjoy adorning my head with fanciful things. It appeases my child-like desire to be a princess! I am so excited for The Great Gatsby film to come out. I'm hoping I will be able to see it on my Birthday (December 26th) as there is little else open on Boxing Day in North Wales for me to do...besides, I really want to see it because I have a penchant for Leonardo DiCaprio films.

How do you feel about the 1920s trend? Would you buy some key pieces to wear over the festive period especially due to the fanciful nature of them?

    1. Thanks :) I love it all. I really wanted the dress, but it's sold out online in a size 16 and I tend to need that size just for my boobs, not my waist. Frustrating!

  2. The dress is so pretty - the pale pink and the sequinned detailing are gorgeous. Love the necklace as well :)

    1. The dress is utterly beautiful, I agree. Sadly it sold out in my size before I could scrape the money together for it! Glad you enjoyed the post :)

  3. i love that dress, i'd probably want to wear it with a leather jacket and pair of chunky shoes though. I'm not brave enough to do the whole 1920's theme.

    1. I'm glad you mentioned that, as that's how I would wear the dress too! Although I would want to go all out 1920's at least once, because I don't care about getting weird looks, haha. But day to day, I'd wear it with chunk shoes/boots and a biker jacket. I adore it!
