The Mad Hatter Vol.3

Here I am again with a blog post that focuses on my hat obsession. I hope you've been enjoying this little feature of mine! Please, please let me know what you think of it. I write for myself as I enjoy it, obviously, but I would like people to enjoy the work I do here. After all, editing pictures and writing a blog post does take time, which is precious to me as a postgraduate student! Therefore if you don't enjoy these posts, I'll stop. Anyway, the other posts in the series thus far can be found here and here. Enjoy until next week!

The Mad Hatter Vol.2

Following on from last Monday's 'Mad Hatter' post, here is this weeks rendition. In case you missed that post (it can be seen by clicking here), I really love hats. I own a fair few and my boyfriend makes me try them on in shops so he can take photos. It's a weird bonding thing that we do whilst shopping. Below are just some of these amusing photos - please excuse the quality of the images as they were all taken on the boyfriends phone. More next week!

Oh yes darling! *air kiss*

Sometimes I miss my red hair. I adored
this hat but I had no money to buy it.

This is one subtle hat. You can barely tell I'm
wearing one. Sparkly electric blue top hat, anyone?

The Mad Hatter

I have a confession. Since I was a child I've had an unhealthy obsession with hats; this includes, but is not limited to, party hats, novelty hats, 'fashion' hats, and hair accessories. What can I say? I just bloody adore hats and fancy things to shove in my hair, mostly because I am not very good at styling it. I own a fair few but also have this weird tendency to try hats on in shops, be it busy or quiet, as I have little to no shame (much to the amusement of my boyfriend/mother/grandmother - delete as appropriate). About three months into my relationship with the boyfriend he started documenting my hat trying-on sessions and I thought I would share a few of the shots in a blog post (although not all are from shops - some are just photo's of me that he's taken when I happen to be wearing one of my own hats!). I have SO many photo's, as they have been taken over the past four years, which shows my weight fluctuations (*cough* yo-yo-dieter *cough*), changes in hair colour and length, make up changes, the lot. This might be a regular Monday feature for a while. What do you think?

Clearly rockin' the hillbilly style y'all

There are no words for this one.

If I was about 4 stone lighter, I could pass for my
mum in the '70s (she was tiny and I am large)

Foxy Lady...well, the hat is fox-like at least

Ps. Did I mention that I like hats? I think I did. I like hats...I have a problem that needs addressing. Enjoy hat lovers of the world!
