Wednesday Wishlist

Rocker

I am definitely a bit of a rock chick at heart - my facebook timeline would show my 'goth' days if you went back to when I first joined the site. Black eyeliner and studs galore. So it's no surprise that sometimes I still want to tap into my inner teenage tastes. These are some of the things my closet rocker has been lusting after.

Do you like the rock chick trend that seems to be dominating the high street at the moment?

Cunning Minx

This is essentially a face of the day post for today. I decided to take a picture of my mug and share it with you as I haven't produced a simple 'here's what my face looks like today' post in a while. I am aware I haven't done any outfit of the day videos (in fact, any videos) on my YouTube channel for a while and I'm hoping to remedy that this weekend, if I'm able. I am just sinking so quickly under postgraduate work at the moment. It's hard going!

Face: Dior Skin Nude foundation in 010; MAC Studio Finish concealer in NW15; e.l.f. Mineral Eye Brightener; e.l.f. Mineral concealer in Fair; .e.l.f. Mineral Booster; No.7 Cream Blush in Peach.
Eyes: Clinique High Impact Mascara (two coats); No.7 Double Ended Eye Pencil in Ivory/Brown (white on waterline, brown smudged lightly up against top and bottom lashes).

Lips: MAC Amplified Lipstick in Cunning.

The Littlest Misfit

Today I wanted to wear my drop-hemmed skirt (not sure if this is the fashion term for it, but that's what I call it! It's longer at the back than the front). I decided to team it with a rock tee of some persuasion as I fancied rocking it up and wearing a smokey eye today too. I dug out this Misfits one as I don't wear it often due to its highly unflattering shape (I plan on cutting the neck to make it off-the-shoulder at some point). And thus is my thought process. I don't suppose many of you will like this outfit as it's not exactly fashion-forward, but I thought I would share it nonetheless as rocking it up is something I do from time to time - probably as a way of holding onto my youth when I was a "goth".

Face: Estée Lauder Double Wear in Shell; Collection 2000 Concealer in Fair;
e.l.f. HD Powder; MAC Crème Blush in Lady Blush.
Eyes: No.7 Smokey Eyeliner in Black; Bourjois Shadow in 02 (It's a teal colour
smudged along the lower lashline); Benefit Browzings in brows.

Skirt: River Island
Tee: vintage (I bought it many years ago when I first fell in love
with the Misfits!)
Black Top: (underneath Tee) New Look
Handbag: Next
Shoes: Ironfist (I don't think they sell this "Zombie" design any more, but
here is the bag that matched them.
